Minimax GmbH
Almost 100 years of firefighting experience
Minimax fire protection systems - efficient by tradition
Minimax was founded in Berlin in 1902, making it the longest established fire protection business in Germany. Today it is one of the leading European suppliers of complete fire protection systems. With branches throughout the whole of Germany, many subsidiaries in Europe and with business partners all over the world, Minimax maintains close contact with its customers.
All the activities of this fire protection company´s are directed at protecting life, the environment and property. Given this orientation, it is the enormous variety of potential risks that presents a constant challenge. There are as many different kinds of fire hazard as there are buildings and types of business occupying them. Minimax meets this challenge with effective fire protection solutions, characterised by sound knowledge and experience, creativity and high standards of quality. Evidence for these standards is provided by early DIN ISO 9001 certification; which is a sure sign of quality in development, design, production, assembly and customer service attributes deeply ingrained in the company´s culture.
CONTINUITY IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
From the very beginning, Minimax has put a premium on development; that is how the legendary witches hat, the first conical wet extinguisher was produced in 1902. Today the powerful spirit of research and development that inspires the company is embodied in the regularly modernised Fire Protection Research Centre in Bad Oldesloe. Fires studied in practical experiments provide the basis for the development of effective and individually tailored fire protection schemes for customers, organizations and institutions, and to test their capacity for real application under the toughest conditions. The accumulation of specialist skills and expertise gained over nearly a century of development in fire protection systems are recognised throughout Europe. As a member of national and international technical boards, Minimax is able to make valuable contributions through its high level of practical experience.
EQUIPPED FOR THE FUTURE
This work of the technical boards for tests and standards is of value to all our customers since Minimax fire protection systems are always closely oriented towards the needs of the future. Insurance companies also show an active interest in the innovations and system improvements introduced by Minimax.
Minimax offers comprehensive and complete fire protection from a single supplier. Minimax means 100% fire protection since the company uses its own highly trained specialists for research, development, design, project planning, manufacture, installation, maintenance and training.
AN IMPORTANT ELEMENT IN A SAFETY SCHEME
Thousands of fires every year in Europe alone demonstrate the fact that the need for a fire protection system in every building is still not recognised widely enough. But only a fire protection scheme that has been tailored and adapted for each particular building provides the necessary security. It is precisely from the point of view of costs that systematic fire protection can be an im-portant element in a safety scheme.
ECONOMIC BENEFITS
Safety is intimately involved in business management calculations. It may well be true that much of the material damage, including the consequences of an interruption of business, is covered by insurance. But nobody can restore the market share lost during such a forced closure. So investment in fire protection is investment in a secure future, and demonstrates the sense of responsibility of a company´s decision-makers.
