Heartrunner Sweden connects people who suffer a suspected cardiac arrest with nearby AEDs and volunteers with CPR training. The system and app are owned, operated and developed by Heartrunner Sweden, which in turn is owned by the researchers behind the idea, Karolinska Institutet Holding, the healthcare company Prima Vård and its founders. Our system helps people who suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest to increase their chances of survival. By engaging a chain of support that involves volunteers, we can help save lives while the ambulance is on its way.
