AGA was founded in 1904. Gustaf Dalens brilliant inventions within lighthouse technology - recognized by the award of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1912 - marked the start of the success for AGA.
AGA is the principal supplier of industrial and medical gases in the northern part of Europe. The company offers products that covers a vast range of applications in industry, medicine, environmental protection and R & D. Since year 2000 AGA is a part of the German Linde Group, an international technology group that has a leading market position in each of its three business segments: Gas and Engineering, Material Handling and Refrigeration. With around 46 500 employees worldwide Linde achieved sales in fiscal 2002 of 8 726 million Euro.
The Linde Gas division has 18 000 employees in 50 countries. AGA AB in Lidingö is today part of Linde Gas Headoffice in Munich.
